阿道夫·希特勒（1889年4月20日－1945年4月30日）是出生于奥地利的德国政治人物，国家社会主义德国工人党（德语：Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei，缩写为NSDAP，通称纳粹党）的领袖。他于1933年至1945年担任德国总理，并于1934年至1945年以“元首兼帝国总理”的身份成为国家元首。希特勒最为人所知的是他在欧洲法西斯主义兴起、第二次世界大战和大屠杀中的核心领导作用。作为第一次世界大战的受勋老兵，希特勒于1919年加入纳粹党前身德国工人党（DAP），并于1921年成为纳粹党领袖。1923年11月8日至9日，他在慕尼黑贝格勃劳凯勒啤酒馆发动政变（史称“啤酒馆暴动”）。政变失败后，希特勒被监禁一年，在狱中撰写了自传《我的奋斗》。1924年12月20日获释后，他通过极具魅力的演讲和宣传，鼓吹泛德意志主义、反犹太主义和反共产主义，从而获得支持。1933年1月30日被任命为总理后，他将魏玛共和国转变为基于纳粹主义极权独裁意识形态的一党专政国家——第三帝国。纳粹军队在战争期间实施了大量暴行，系统性屠杀了约1700万平民，其中包括大屠杀中约600万犹太人、50万至150万罗姆人，以及大量波兰人、苏联平民、苏联战俘、残疾人、同性恋者、耶和华见证人和其他政治与宗教异见者。1945年柏林战役期间，希特勒在战争最后时刻与其长期情妇爱娃·布劳恩结婚。为免被苏联军队俘获，两人于1945年4月30日自杀身亡，遗体随后被焚毁。
