STORY INTRODUCTION
布赖恩·哈罗德·梅，CBE（英语：Brian Harold May, 1947年7月19日－）是一位英国音乐人、歌手、词曲作者和天体物理学家，作为皇后乐队的吉他手，他取得了国际性的声誉。
在1991年弗雷迪·墨裘瑞死后，为了表示纪念，梅参加了1992年的弗雷迪·默卡利纪念音乐会 [2]
2001年，布赖恩·梅以皇后乐队成员身份入选摇滚名人堂。在2018年，以皇后乐队成员身份获得格莱美终身成就奖。
2005年，布莱恩·梅获得大英帝国勋章中的司令勋章（CBE），以表彰他“对音乐行业和慈善工作的贡献”。[5]2007年梅在帝国理工学院取得天体物理学博士学位，他的博士论文证实黄道尘的运行方向和行星绕行太阳的方向相同，2008到2013年担任利物浦约翰摩尔斯大学的名誉校长。[6]他现居舒梨郡的Windlesham[7]，是动物权利的支持者，2012年9月被任命为动物福利组织RSPC的副主席。[8]
2005年，“行星摇滚”电台的投票中他被选为“史上最伟大的吉他手”第7名。[9]他在《滚石杂志》的“滚石杂志一百大吉他手”名单上排名第26位。[10]2012年，他《吉他世界》的读者票选为“史上最伟大的吉他手”第2名。[11]
