STORY INTRODUCTION
沃尔特·克朗凯特（1916年11月4日－2009年7月17日）是美国广播新闻记者，最广为人知的身份是哥伦比亚广播公司晚间新闻长达19年（1962-1981年）的主播。在哥伦比亚广播公司新闻部鼎盛的1960至1970年代，他因一项民意调查获称“全美最受信赖之人”而常获此誉。尽管他在1937年至1981年间报道过诸多重大事件——包括第二次世界大战空袭、纽伦堡审判、越南战争、约翰·F·肯尼迪总统遇刺、民权运动先驱小马丁·路德·金遇害、水门事件及伊朗人质危机等，但其最深入人心的成就当属对美国太空计划从水星计划到登月行动直至航天飞机时代的全程电视报道。他是唯一获得月球岩石奖的非美国宇航局人士。克朗凯特以其标志性的结束语“事实就是如此”闻名遐迩，每期节目尾声他都会说出这句经典台词并附上播出日期。
