STORY INTRODUCTION
格雷西（桑德拉·布洛克 Sandra Bullock 饰）意外成为美国小姐之后，一夜之间成了名人。每次参加活动都会因为“粉丝”的围观、纠缠或者索要签名而暴露身份，影响整个行动，殃及一起执行任务的同事。为此，FBI纽约总部做出决定，让她调离原岗位，出任FBI纽约总部形象代言人，在专业人士的训练下，四处参加电视采访节目，为FBI纽约总部做宣传。直到一块参加“美国小姐”竞选时的好朋友谢丽尔（希瑟·伯恩丝 Heather Burns 饰）和资深电视节目主持人斯坦（威廉·萨特纳 William Shatner饰）遭绑匪劫持，格雷西无法袖手旁观，决心重拾联邦女干探的真我本色，出手相救......
